How to get formally qualified

Can someone please explain to me what the formal Commodity, (or any other trading specific), qualifications are, who certifies them and most importantly how one attains them and where one studies for them?

You might want to start with the National Futures Association. See link below. Usually, the Series 3 is required for the more popular options (CPO/CTA etc...) This site should answer most of your questions.

That tells me the exams to take and their format as well as cost. What I now need to know is how and what to study for them.
