Yeah, those things will take anything , toes, fingers-very different to the ones here in oz. Will bite through most line to, so just fishing for them prolly wont work.
On a quiet day in a billabong in a canoe, the snake neck tortoise can be very common in places here, you can practically scoop them up if not startled. But yeah, the stink-yikes.
Tastes like chicken.
