Naaa, that would give you the shares outstanding.Hey guys,
Ive been looking for the float of certain specific stocks im interesting in, but I cant seem to find this info.
Does anyone know where or how I can find it?
I was thinking of dividing the market cap by the current share price.
would that work?

Its pretty important when evaluating the potential for a short squeeze, and also post IPO when looking at the lock-up expiration date.Unless you're thinking of a really big trade, I don't know the "float" is especially important.
Suggest you check out the "handle"... a practical proxy... share price x some average of daily volume.
