A good bit of advice, never check the time, don't allow thoughts of anxiety over feeling tired in the coming day enter your mind. Especially the breathing to lower heart rate. I've done this all my adult life.
I changed the bedside lights for smart bulbs and I have Alexa make the light red. I had an action called Red October mode but changed it for one that makes the bulb progressively more red and dim after 10.30.
The wife falls asleep easily but my phone or tablet screen sometimes bothers her however with the red lamp she is not troubled even though its more light.
