It is pretty clear from the videos that the mob was threatening the homeowners.

I will note the couple seem to have no firearm discipline. Several times they appear to be pointing the firearms at each other; where a accidental discharge would have caused a family catastrophe

I very much doubt that the police will charge this couple since the protestors had obviously broken into private property and several were armed.

Sad state affairs in the country when an armed mob attempts entry into your house and property and our first thought is whether the victims will be charged. It is where we are though.

But to the legal issue, I don't see that the owners committed a crime. If they had shot and killed someone we would entire a lawyer's paradise about whether they had a duty to withdraw (to where we don't know when a mob is hot on your trail) or not but no one has been shot or shots fired. There could also be issues of brandishing a weapon if they had left their property and gone out to the street to just confront protesters but that charge won't work here.

If only we had......a police force or something.

Interesting the way that the sorrow they carry in their hearts over the memory of George Floyd always seems to take them to richest places in town- mansions, jewelry stores, etc. Yeh, another step in the grieving process that I guess white folks don't understand.

The woman's finger is on the trigger most of the time. I think her husband gave it to her and hopes she would serve as backup. But yeah, pretty poor discipline.

There was a protest in the area we live in outside of Tampa. It was nice and peaceful - very poorly attended as well. There was a lot of chatter of social media as I am told (I don't have social media accounts outside of Twitter). Folks apparently warned them that if they came into the neighborhood and did bad things they would be going out on their backs. Not a peep from them.

Rioters don't want people to fight back. They work best when they can overwhelm and get away with shit.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

A woman with a gun and poor discipline standing in front of a group of looters. Right now I am okay with that.

But, yeh, I spoze we don't want to blow hubby away, so maybe they can invest in a couple dogs that have poor discipline instead. I am flexible kind of guy.
