How to buy and sell more than 20,000 shares frequently?

Quote from kapama:

I guess I am all confused because of the fact that some old experienced trader telling me about slippage. You know what I mean.

He specifically said they monitored several borkerages' level II system and observed that all prices were different and after researhing for sometime they figured afew of them are giving real prices some of them which are terranova and tradestation and Fidelity and such.

Didn't you guys hear about how BofA and other brokerages paid millions of dollars because of manipulating prices. Either he is lying to me or

I don't know.

Howcome zecco.com is making money then? Trading is free and even the unlimited shares are free. Isn't that fishy? Go figure.

What are we missing here?

Alas, SEC don't do anything.

I doubt it's a conspiracy. Some LII quote providers are faster than others. Get the fastest data possible. Also, some might not show all ecns. So the issue is not seeing all ECNs and having laggy data.

so the question is; who provides the fastest and most accurate data?

What brokerages do you recommend?

You should probably consult this old experienced trader you've previously mentioned. He should be able to point you in the right direction.

Question is, why didn't you do this at the start if you believe in what he says so much.

When the brokers/banks break the SEC rules,,they get leniency and a slap in the hands.

When martha stewart or some kid living in his parents basements manipulate stocks, both goes to jail and pay hefty fines.

SEC is toothless when brokers/bankers control the SEC board and 'COMMISSION' mafia commission of the street.

market manipulation.

they make money on the commissions, fees and spread. and most important the brokers make money front running which is not illegal if the brokerage does it.

the market can be so violent and dead that they would be on their knees to Bernanke for more money to keep the market liquid and lower there interest cost on manipulating the markets.

Give it up already. Check it out for yourself. Subscribe to some third party data vendor and check it against the above firms.

It's that easy.

agreed, most professional traders have at least 2 sources of data, one for data consistency and in case one platform fails you have a backup to hedge. Good luck.

Martha Stewart went to jail for lying to the FBI she was not convicted of anything else. The kid in the basement was playing penny stocks at a time when it was a lot easier to get away with that crap.

What do you mean by "NYOB" IMO to insure my pennies? Can you please explain?

New York Open Book, for depth and where the real orders are.
