I had a lot of amazing experiences trading but in the end I was essentially my own IT guy servicing myself and a few friends - and I had capital at risk every day in the markets. It's a completely different feeling knowing that the capital is in your bank account not stuck in some position.

I'm still in it and around it. On the floor of the NYSE whenever I want or need to be, hedge funds in midtown... Cali, Switzerland, London, etc.

Assume your customer will be isolating the machine? I had a 490 series box in my SOHO packed to the gills and well cleaned every 6 months and it sounded like a small Cessna. Also hated the Dell proprietary internals. In the last year have tried to upgrade hardware while getting as silent as possible. Every decibel counts...
