I'm going next year -
miss it too much and this time will go up again to Ornskoldsvik and Kiruna and spend some quality time there.
When I first went to Stockholm the govt. assigned me to Kursverksamheten, a govt. language school to learn Swedish - my girl told me on the first day of arriving there - "OK, no more German, no English, you don't talk in Swedish from Monday onwards, I don't answer"
I was bowled over the very first day in the class of 20 international students when a Thai fellow could not grasp a concept and Rolf, the professor after several attempts to explain, gave him the word in Thai script.

And this was a govt. school
What a country! Hospitals? Crème de la crème. People? Super friendly. Language? You learn their language and doors open EVEN more than they do for me in Thailand. After all there were only 8 million nationals at that time.
Only downside? Mellanol and starkol too expensive back then.
