It’s not lost on me that the US isn’t always negotiating in good faith, either. We have had a bully pulpit for multiple generations and there has been some shift.

But the Chinese cannot continue to steal US intellectual property without consequence. I’m sure this is the key feature of any prospective deal.

US soybean farmers can really stick it back up the Chinese asses if they wanted to! Stop planting soybeans and raise prices, demand a minimum order worth say tens of millions of dollars. Since, Brazil is buying US soybeans to sell to the Chinese, if the US soybean farmers raise prices and demand huge volumes to fill orders with payment upfront, the Chinese will end up paying much, much more for the same soybeans they supposedly, refuse to buy? If you want a product bad enough, you have to pay for it! Raising prices also, has the added benefit of increasing the prices for soybeans US farmers is selling! Leverage works both ways!
