The bankruptcy will not get him out of legally being required to pay the judgment. It will give him an opportunity to move around his assets, prioritize paying other parties, and delay the demand for immediate payment of the $148 Million.
The recent decision by the judge requiring Rudy to pay the two victims in the civil suit immediately led to this quick bankruptcy filing -- which in many ways was the expected response by Rudy.
Okay. Well, I hope the women get something meaningful out of him. They reportedly already settled with other defendants for undisclosed amounts, so good for them.
What I forgot to mention is that the decision by the judge for immediate payment of the $148 Million sets the table for the women to be allowed to track Rudy's assets so he will not be able to hide them -- even in bankruptcy.
"We already knew Rudy was morally bankrupt, but now he's financially bankrupt too." Along with many other MAGA nutcases.
Defamation lawsuits usually cant be discharged in bankruptcy,as Alex Jones found out.
