How Republicans Sell Out Their Base While Pretending To Fight

a progressive income tax is the only fair tax, it has to be progressive because if we raise the rate high enough to balance the budget the poor wouldn't even have enough to pay rent, so we tax progressively, the more you make the higher your rate goes
 
how about funding a leaner govt without any income tax except for those who contribute to politicians and PACs.

well, we all want a leaner government, but that isn't going to happen until we run out of money. Why not just make taxes voluntary and let the rich pay for the government they want?

Progressive income taxes, immoral as they are, will never be repealed. They are one of the major tools of government control.

Progressive income tax rates are the epitome of prejudice. "All men are created equal".... until it comes to taxes, that is. (And of course policies/favors to support a political agenda and buy votes.)

They won't. People don't change or put forth change until they must. It's a defect of the species that prevents acting on any foresight unless danger is imminent.
