This comes with living long enuf to see complete cycles. Every day, someone posts the Greatest New Thing in the World. Except, if they look back far enuf, they will see someone else thought that during the last bubble, and the last bubble and the last bu......well you do get the point.

Trading ideas are so much like music and movies that it ain't even funny

HFT and broker style strategies are profitable , tell me do you know the hft/brokerage style trading strategy being used by some?

The one where you can have about 100 consecutive losing trades and still be profitable , yet your draw down is no more than 3% , still generate 50 % per annum ?It is all possible for $500 daily.

Using fx with 1% account risk per trade that is 10 pips.
It does not sound too difficult.

If? I have an isolated account that parlays monthly and sweeps the cash into vanilla risk. Barrier options, but 20% is easily achievable on "excess" capital.

I'll start a journal next week and post the weekly PNL.
