Find two boys, one white and one black. Dress them both alike. Give them both a "toy" gun. Place them both on a playground (asphalt or otherwise). Call the cops and report these boys and their "guns". See which one the cops shoot.

When the cops show up and tell the boys to put down their guns... which boy obeys the cops?

The one who does not get shot... simple summary... not race based at all.

First thing the leftist media needs to do is stop calling this a toy. A BB gun is not a toy. Lets try a little experiment with some leftist media type. I shoot them in the face with a BB gun and then ask them if they still think it's a toy? Secondly, every 12 year old knows, especially inner city kids know, if a cop tells you to raise your hands and you go for the gun in your belt, you're pretty much done.
Nearly every person I know is concerned about the militarization of our police force. All are concerned about how quickly a cop will pull his gun and start blasting. All are concerned about these militarized invading forces kicking down our doors on the thinnest of evidence. However, this is not a racial issue, it's a government oppression issue.
What happened to this kid is a result of him having learned no respect for authority and being a dumbass punk. That combination will eventually get you killed, if not by the law, by some other dumbass punk.

Not to mention that BB guns are regularly used in robberies. Not a single week goes by in our local press without more people being shot in a BB gun robbery. Here is the most recent article...

It is a question of criminals taking personal responsibility for their actions and facing the consequences for their crimes - in many cases the end result is death if you attack a law-abiding citizen who is armed.
