how much time should be spent on journaling?

Good Morning FTDK,

Once I click buy or sell button, the trade either wins or loses. At the end of the year or month, I will either make a lot of money or not.

If I do not make money, I try something else. If I make money, I keep going until rich.

Trying to improve in manually trading I've learned in trading is a waste of time. We are adults, and we need to be mature about what is instantly working and what's not going to work. There is no need to make life complicated journaling 100 things.

Just trade from the chart, do what you feel and do it alot.

Don't change nothing until after 1000 trades. Then you know what work.

You can't improve forever. Improving in trading is marketing. Just keeping on clicking.
So in short, you just randomly try different systems, one after another, and hope that you'll find one that's working.
At least, you know what you are doing....

Hello rb7,

Something like that.

Yes, just keep starring at the chart, and try to make consistent money using a different entry approach and exit approach so I can get consistent money every week, and hurry and get rich man.

I do not have a choice but to do this, because the answer to getting rich fast is not in the book or internet, just the chart and buy and sell button.

So I remove all the bullshit about trading setups and method and stuff to keep things simple. And just stare at the chart and take my best guess per trade and to make some money man.

As guessing manual traders, we have to get to the bone and get the money. We only have so much time, and one brain and two arms. We can not try 1000 things, not enough time in the life and the bank account is ready for millions of dollars to deposit. So best to stare at chart, and aim correctly repeatedly

Journaling trades sounds goods, but waste of time from my experience. Because its hindsight and everyday you can not try something new.

lol, I highly doubt 30 years ago ES pit traders was journaling trades. Nope, they was making millions risking it all, buying mansions quickly. Hurry up.

A trading plan yes, of course, journaling nope, waste of time. Follow the trading plan or not.

Staring at charts could be a method which requires binning, it depends on why you are staring.

Staring to guess which way it will go, that method requires binning.
Staring to understand why it moves the way it moves, to better understand "why it moves is not because of chance or coincidence", that's smart.

I think a distinction needs to be made between the Day Traders, Swing Traders and Position Traders.

Of course Swing and Position Traders could learn a lot from a Journal, wish Ida done it. But a Scalper lol.

Please tell me, what profession or business have you ever started in life that worked instantly, without proper training, education and learning on the go?

He's 7 years unprofitable even during the post-covid boom. He doesn't want to learn or learn from his mistakes. He's almost the lesson how not to Trade.
