SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- Microsoft Corp. finally dangled a higher takeover bid in front of Yahoo Inc. Friday, hoping to reach a friendly deal after weeks of saber rattling.

As a consumer, I love Yahoo. Free e-mail, news, sports, everything a person needs. On the other hand Google, I don't get it at all. Might be a good search engine, then it runs flat.
