25 years ago the magic number for traders used to be $100K.
Thats was a lot of money back then.
And used to buy a modest 3 bed house where i live.
Now you need $500K for the same house.
Not sure about Lambos, how much the equivalent new one cost in 1997 vs Now, not something i follow.
I had a quick google, seems the bottom of the range Lambo these days starts at $200K, but i guess with extras its going to be more like $250K
Probably the price of Lambos hasn't inflated as much as houses have.

As traders, you want to earn as much monies as you can in any given year. My goals are much more modest. To match what I earned last year in trading profits. Since, I expect a huge market crash, my 2nd target amount is double what I earned last year. Of course, we never know how much we can earn as a huge market crash would also, mean a market filled with opportunities to earn once, in a lifetime gains. A number of traders make out like bandits when the market crashes like in 1929, 2000, 2008. This could be that type of market yet, again in 2022.
If you can make $10M a year in trading, I think it will be very difficult to find an activity that makes more money.
Outlier years are great for compounding a small account with largish bet size.
Profits can be 100x (or more) in an outlier year, if you compare what you can make risking say 5% per trade vs 1%.
You wont just make just 5 or 10 times more, it will be a much larger multiple.

In my younger days i dreamed of trading 500 lots in the ES, or even 1000 lots in the ZN
I managed to hit 100 NQ lots at one point in my career. NQ was much thicker back then. Used to have 50+ lots on each level of the ladder most of the time.
Im older now, i would be more than happy to max out at 25 NQ lots.
I guess some people still have that dream (or perhaps even reality) of trading very big size and so still dream of making over 10M a year.
