i was playing around witht some naked russell otions this week and was wondering how the udner lining works if assigned. so if i have one russell assigned i have to buy 100 shares of the rut index? so if rut is 700 each 100 shares is 7k?
If you were trading options on the $RUT, then the udner lining is cash settled. There are no shares on the index. If you were trading options on the IWM then it would be settled in shares.
