How mobile phones let spies see our every move, This covers EVERYTHING

Just like in that Batman movie when all the radio links were made and Batman could see where people are and who moves where.

This is exactly that as hard as it is to believe for some of you less tech savvy.

"Secret radar technology research that will allow the biggest-ever extension of 'Big Brother'-style surveillance in the UK is being funded by the Government.

The radical new system, which has outraged civil liberties groups, uses mobile phone masts to allow security authorities to watch vehicles and individuals 'in real time' almost anywhere in Britain."

Just to add for those less tech savvy. You don't need to have a cellphone with you for them to see you.

They don't need to enter your home and install a Camera. You can be seen even in your bathroom with push of a button.

Loss of privacy always leads to loss of rights. That is a fact.

Guys, the date is more than seven years ago. So, what happened?

The game is afoot Watson :). The plan is implemented and in use shhh

There was a lot of work done on this years back and was public knowledge, the Serbs used their GSM network on 900Mhz as an early warning system. There are issues using GSM in the UK and most of Europe for detection and it becomes less effective the closer the target is to the ground due to high and frequent rainfall. Although a lot of work was done on this in the UK the end customer was not the UK but the US. :)

Lets say you apply for a police job and you got excellent qualifications but they pull up your information where you hang out and who were your friends at some point in your life.

You get sent home with DENIED and you don't even know why

None of this would be a problem if we had a society with checks and balances that was fair and just.

The reality is that the more you lose privacy the more you lose rights.

I thought we were discussing GSM being used for detection rather than privacy and civil liberties.

You can't separate the two. Patriot act makes sure warrantless surveillance and tapping of citizens is a given.

REALLY?
and how do you suggest they see me in the bathroom? LOL
