The point is, and this probably won't sink in until you've been at it a little while, once you have a view on price, volatility, skew, time etc. for your particular target stock/index you can construct combinations of long and short options at various strikes and various months to tailor a position exactly according to your needs. The position/strategy may not have a "name" that you will find in a book necessarily.
