how many trades do you make a day?

I'm a stock day trader trying to make the transition the futures.
I would make 50 -70 trades a day in stocks. I've averaged 30-40 trades a day with the futures. Is this alot? I've heard guys on the floor make 100's of trades a day. I just don't see that many setups. How many trades a day do you guys do in the emini's. I know trading styles differ so the question is for active traders

I opened an account with 20k I'm down about $700 after commisions. Feels like i'm just churning.

Floor traders get ridiculously low commissions. Like about twenty cents a turn. Since I moved off the floor, I have to take fewer trades. Scratches are not winners in the sense that commissions will eat away at you.
 
I used to do up to 50 per day, but couldn't make money that way.

Now I make 5 - 10 and it works well for me. I only take the best setups I see. I am bored a lot though. If I could profitably trade 50+ like Nitro, I would.
