I do it all the time. I use Greenshot to take screenshots, gives me a few quirks over the old-school windows screenshot. Can capture the selected region + it can open the picture in image editor where i can add some text to describe the context/my thoughts or whatever and i just paste it into microsoft onenote which serves me as a diary.

I record the video of the session using OBS. sometimes I forget to record it then I'll take screenshots on some trades I find interesting.

Anyways apparently there is a windows10 in-built feature, Win + Shift + s enables you to screenshot region and copies to clipboard.
Don't think there's any advantage, except maybe that i can open it in image editor in one click, ..
I use obs to record my screens. All 4 of them. And automatic scene switcher for it to track my mouse. As well as webcam for my face and breathing where I get stressed out and looking for tells like tapping table, biting nails, cracking knuckles...

I use Snagit to record entries, exits... with notes added to these screenshots if needed. Also take a screenshot of when I first notice a pattern or whatever... to record the time I recognized it. Also at the end of the trading day I make a video (usually 5 - 10 min long) going bar by bar and verbally reviewing observations and actions.
All of the screenshots are saved into a word document made for each day. Makes it real easy to track actions through the day.
At the end of the week the word documents and videos are all put into a folder for the week. And I review them over the weekend. Rarely look at them again. But sometimes I do, it's good to have them.
