I tried several settings, but finally disabled ZoneAlarm and my trouble went away. I use the built-in firewall in XP now (yes, I know it's not the best, but it works for me).
I used to have freeze up problems with e signal on a regular basis,it seems to have cleared up now,i dont know wether that was because of the latest version or because i kept taking my computer back as i thought it was because of my quad card and other thing i had to rule out...what a nightmare it was.
Oh and thanks a lot e-signal (not) i phoned on numerous occasions questioning my freeze up problems but was never told this was an issue,on the contrary,you could have saved me a lot of hassel if you would have come clean.
...one thing i've noticed with esignal is that it has a VERY strong tendency to crash if i run any audio software at the same time, including Nero v5.5.72, plextor MVP, or plextor audio capture...
if i run one of those programs, there's a 75% chance my computer will crash...FWIW
