How many stocks do you trade per day?

I wonder how many stocks do day traders hold per. It seems if you try to trade more than 10 at the one time in your portfolio it gets quite messy and confusing.

I try trade both LONG and SHORT and late it's been getting quite confusing keeeping track of longs and shorts and 10 fast moving stocks at the same time.

How do pros handle this?

Or do you just hold/trade one stock at teh time per day?

I think this is a case of "one size" does not fit all. Everybodys individual case is different. You need to feel comfortable with the total number of stocks being held. If your feeling uneasy about holding to many, trust your gut and cut back.
