How Many More Anti-Black Threads Does P&R Need?

Almost every day there is a thread in P&R about how terrible black people are and then like-minded posters are quick to add their own generalizations and labels.

I get it. It's all about freedom of speech. Sacrosanct and all that. Fine. But how many more anti-black threads do we need where the usual suspects get their hate-on to see whose is the biggest? Yes, most of the P&R crowd is bigoted as is apparently their right. And they have expressed their views ad nauseam. And their buddies have all "liked" their posts. Their views are noted with all the disgust that they warrant. But can we move on now? There are other sites more suited to those kinds of exchanges and I'm sure that the white supremacists here would be welcomed with open white arms of racial purity. Why not take it there where you'll be surrounded by your kind? Which is what you want in the first place, right? Why must you guys keep pissing in the ET pool?

When is enough finally enough?

How many anti-gun threads do we have to have? How many global warming threads to we have to have?

Politics and religion bring forth all sorts of subjects over and over again, because there are probably 15-20 main themes that are driving most of the subjects in our society here in America (though maybe not so much in yours in Canada).

So people bring up the same thing all the time.

I would think that someone who in on his fourth username here on this forum (the previous three being banned) would respect people's right to express themselves in a forum that clearly warns "Not for the feint of heart!"

My recommendation to you is to put the users who continue to spout this stuff on ignore, or not frequent a forum which obvious upsets you to no end, then let Baron decide what to keep and what not to. Stop trying to get people thrown off the website or have their views censored.

Here's another suggestion - you might find it more to your tastes on that forum dbphoenix went off to. Sounds like that sort of moderation is just up your alley. The rest of us enjoy the freedom Baron allows us on the alternative forums (though this does not mean I support the views).

I'm not trying to get anyone thrown off. (Although it would be nice.) I'm asking that there be a bit of moderator discretion. You will note that I don't complain about the gun love threads or the climate change denying threads. I merely disagree with them. But anti-black threads are about hate and bigotry and they lower ET's collective brow. And that has already been beaten to death by the people whose freedom of ongoing, unyielding and relentless hate you are here defending.

I can take any insult you throw at me and I'll be sure to return the favor. I'm okay with that. And the other topics are about disagreement. But race threads are about hate. And I think Baron has been accommodating enough to your friends whom you have come to this thread to support and defend. Their views are noted; they are a matter of record. We get it.

How about disagreeing without hating? And if you want to hate, hate specific individuals who have offended your sensibilities rather than everyone who looks like them. (Segregation, anyone?)

You are a piece of work, Tsing. You immediately get offended when you think someone "snarked" you, but you'll wave a flag when someone expresses ongoing and unrelenting hatred for an entire group of people. Perhaps you've been in the white linen closet too long and don't even know you're there.

Yes, Tsing Tao is clearly a racist. More important though is how Elite Trader wishes to present itself to the world. Posters like "rangecontrarian" are going out of their way to push the envelope this month. It looks to me like it might be someone who has a beef with the site ( maybe TGregg ), and they are trying to test the site.

I'm not sure what the limits to decency are supposed to be here, but in P&R the promotion of eugenics and racial genocide are even worse then some of the overt racism.

Can you link to the racist comments that I've made over the last....well...anytime? I can show you comments where I've made that put down people for use of language or blatant trolling in regards to race. But show me all these racial slurs I've supposedly made.

If you're referring to my defense of people to be able to say anything on a forum that has clearly dictated warning that people will speak their mind, that's not racist - unless you folks on the left are broadening the term even more.

Not that this thread actually deserves a serious reply, but the mention of slaves, confederates, etc has nothing to do with the high percentage of African-American crime. Why not focus on some of the real drivers like the breakdown of family values, the enabling of crime through permanent welfare, etc, rather than going for the race angle right from the start?
