How many daytraders are still out there?

Quote from goldenarm:

Oh...so you meant that daytrading is very easy compared to MOST other professions. This statement alone shows that you're clueless.

goldenarm,

It sounds like your on the sidelines looking in. Its called COMMON SENSE, if you have it, along with experience and execution skills, then you can make money every day. Either way Its much easier than taking orders from a scrub in payroll or whatever....
Ill be happy to show you how to do it

some of us enjoy grinding and taking dough from second to second. Its called reality, when im flipping 5k for a dime, i wish i knew where your orders are cause i sure would love to eat them up. Im hungry to take "fairyland" dough

umm, ok

I wonder if the bitter ones had a bad year in 2003:cool:

A couple of comments:

1. No way in hell I would do this for a lousy 60K/year -- no way in hell!

2. Daytrading with proper risk control and ample capital can be very profitable.

3. As far as "sitting in front of a computer screen all day" -- who the hell does that?? I trade the first 2 hours and the last 2 hours of the day (*usually*). Since I live in California, my day ends at 1:00. Yes, it's 4 hours of hard work and intense concentration, but it's lucrative and allows me incredible freedom!

Prior to trading, I was Director of Latin American Sales for a large tech company. I was in South America 2 weeks/month (which was great), but I worked 10+ hour days.

Trading can be a great way to make a living (it's certainly not for everyone), if it is approached with proper discipline and training.
