How Made Up Is News? Quite a Bit

Quote from Trend Following:

Government does not enable entrepreneurism. That is nonsense.
Go start a business in a Third World country with absolutely no government oversight, or almost none, if any. Good luck with that. And be sure to update your will before you go.

Nice straw man. Not taking about that--talking about the notion that the current President thinks government is responsible for entrepreneurs.

Quote from oldtime:

none of you know what you are talking about

everything you think you know you learned from the news

as soon as it comes through that glass tube you have an opinion

have you ever sat down with the President and had a talk?

or do you just react to what you see on tv?

otherwise, if news is silly, what is the reason for a new record high in beans? Is it because some MA crossed over?

So you sit around and trade off news reports?

Government is responsible for helping to create and maintain the many and varied necessary conditions for sustainable entrepreneurial success in today's environment. Disagree with that statement, and you risk waking your "nice straw man" or possily being accused of a cognitive deficit.

You just said nothing. You just parroted the same meaningless crap that spews out of DC on the left and right. If you want to believe the State is your daddy--go for it.

True, Brass ;
about 10%/+.

Of course when America was first founded. they had no gov at all , later they did set up a limited gov[check your constitution,/ammendments] Notice how much the founding fathers limited gov.

Of course big Greece gov, big Nazi gov [socialism ] big commie/russian gov can screw up/ruin a whole nation;
so to simply rubber stamp a gov like you/others did is incrediably naive/dangerous.

You are comparing different governments to draw a unified conclusion. Make a decision and then stick to either apples or oranges.

Have you actually done this? (No.) Actually, it can be quite easy and profitable, depending on the location.

A better question: What about start a business in the U.S.? It gets easier and more profitable the further back you go. Now you deal with the alphabet soup of the EPA, OSHA, SEC, EEOC (to name a few), state/local restictions often brought about by unions, etc. There are a lot of current businesses that wouldn't make it out of the starting gate if they began now. The barriers to entry are much larger. Talk to some business owners and CEOs.
