Big boys including, hedge funds do not buy it all at once but, slowly, so as not to make the share prices rise too much. Probably, 6 months atleast. For smaller stocks, it might take 3 months if there is not a lot of shares. That is why it is in a trading range. When, it breaks out and starts moving, you know it is on.
