How is retail day trading anything but a gamble?

To me, it’s the other way around - your job pay is not scalable. Day traders during volatility, like we had recently, can make six figures a day easy.
Can you name one ET day trader making six figures a day? o_O

Yep, that's what failed Forex traders usually say after their third Heineken at the local bar.

If it takes them only 3 Heinekens to get sizzled enough at the bar to tell the truth, they are teetotalers. Not worth the time. Good folks to start playing poker with after you've had a 12-pack and are just getting going, while they're begging for mercy under the table and just giving away their chips.

There is no asset class more appealing to the piker sub-class that FX. Can I earn in spot/fwd FX? No idea, but I'd take a 7-figure pay cut.

...

Top traders rarely feel the need to brag, they compound their profits quietly and keep a low profile.

There is an odd irony in that statement. So traders with lots of profits should not post blotters because it seems they are bragging, and traders with lots of losses do not post blotters because they would seem humiliated.

So who, pray tell, should and do post blotters? Just the BE guys?

Not at all, there is absolutely nothing wrong with posting buy/sell signals with specific stops and targets.

It's just the "hey look at me I am a big shot I am making big bucks and you are all just a bunch of losers" attitude that I really do not like.

Only deeply insecure people act like that.

Seriously, when was the last time you saw Soros or Buffet posting - and bragging about - their winnings in Internet forums like ET?

"...So you have your little ET Journal, big deal.

So do you want folks to post their blotters/journals or not? Hehe.
