I wrote a review published with Curtis' first book. I also used his software Trading Blox for a decade. Haven't heard from him for a while. He has an ongoing war with Fake Turtle Covel.
Wow, you guys have no respect for traders who let you learn from them - successes and failures.
Correct!
Perhaps that is because traders only let you learn from them a) if they are not traders (like Covel) or b) they can no longer make money from the markets or have lost their nerve.
No one who can still milk the markets would bother to tell you how to do so.
He doesn't trade the same way he tweets to the group based on the private questions I asked him. I subscribed to him for about 1 year. Shorting VXX and similar products is a great strategy assuming you know how to trade, which I am pretty sure he does. But keeping < 20% of your money in those products at any time doesn't yield fantastic results, esp for smaller accounts. I personally found him very helpful and willing to share but I stopped subscribing once I understood the strategy and was willing to execute on my own methodology. I found his overall market read in his articles quite poor as his timing and risk / reward is typically terrible.
