How high can the S&P go?

I'm still trying to figure out where all of this came from. I certainly am not known for changing rules as I go, i'm known around here for making accurate predictions on the stock market. This "play on words" seems to have come from left field.

This guy macal tissues reminds me of the character pig-vomit in Howard Stern's movie "Private Parts". He stood up and said, "leave this guy to me, I'll take care of him". So macal tissues came after me with this nonsense, and then quickly disabled the handle of my French friend Silvain Garnea, all with the same success pig-vomit had on Howard Stern.

I would like to have the power to disable handles, alas (as far as I know) Baron is the only who can do that. Even if I had the power I wouldn't disable yours. You may be annoying, but you're basically harmless.

I've already done enough disrupting of this excellent thread (yes, it is a good one that encouraged some good debate) so I will say my goodbyes. Feel free to throw in one last attempt at belittling. :)

I salute you for good moderatorship

I don't think there's much upside left. Maximum to 1050 or thereabouts.

So that's where i'm voting.

Justifiably this thread continues, because the question is "how high can the S&P go in 2003"??

I'm here tonight to talk trading. Enough distractions. Looks like my old friend Romeo was correct in his first post here. The S&P looks to have topped, with a high of 1074 as the high for the year.

That means this thread correctly predicted on 9/17!! the S&P running out of steam at "1050 or thereabouts". Anyone who may disagree with a 1074 top should speak now, and not after the fact (ATF).

This is important. Notice for future reference that,
thereabouts = 24 pts. :cool:

OK Einstein, which of the above choices in the poll is most correct to YOU?

1074 -1050 = 24

1100 - 1074 = 26

therefore 1074 is closer to 1050 than it is to 1100.

Understanding this quantitative data, can anyone with a brain say that the most correct answer to the above poll isn't "1050 or thereabouts"??

Is there anyone who voted for "around 1100" or even "above 1100" that would like to come forward, and show their bull horns?

I mean, the year is ending in 3 weeks. If you think that the market is going to close in on the 1100 level in the next 3 weeks, please come forward and speak on its behalf.

Today's action ( and 1069.50 in Dec. ) tells us that the Prechter's of the world are still wrong, and with a few more weeks left in the year, it is still too early to say the the "market has topped".

Why all the EGO?
Why all the Fascination with an alleged top?
Why all the Semantics?

I SAY JUST TRADE 'EM!

:D

Nolan-Vinny-Sam (alias wiggle),

Fascination is an appropriate word. Look at your N-V-S alias. Has many old names in it. Perhaps you should create a new alias: "Romeo-Jesse-Rocco".

Stop with this "ego" nonsense. I'm not declaring victory on the stock market, I'm looking for an intelligent dialogue about the "possible top". Hard to get it here. I don't like being on Prechter's side. Tell me when he changes.

But I still think 1075 is "S&P looks toppy" territory. Could I be wrong? Possibly. Possibly tomorrow. Who knows? I just trade 'em.
