How has the pursuit of trading impacted your life?

How has the pursuit of trading impacted your life for better and worse? How has it changed you as a person? How has it changed your outlook on life? How has it affected your relationships?
Let's discuss since it is the weekend:-)

How has the pursuit of trading impacted your life for better and worse

How has it changed you as a person
How has it changed your outlook on life
How has it affected your relationships

Let's discuss since it is the weekend:)

I'm pretty sure for most people/traders, generally speaking, it has adversely affected their life, o_O

Money makes you dark, to say the least,

You, and the world, and your family/friends...would all be better off...if you were a school teacher, or ran a pet shelter -- or something along those innocent, simple, pure lines,

The money is good...if you are one of the ultra rare less than 1% of traders who are truly profitable,
But you have a relatively empty feeling, when it's all said and done -- you buy alligator shoes, or a Rolex...but so what, doesn't feel that rewarding,

All we are are just basically Vegas gamblers...we come and enter the casino, sit down at a table...and play,
That's essentially the office of a trader -- How many people can say that about themselves with a certain degree of proud, high esteem...

...

I learned how to cure my dandruff and train my dog.

Seriously though, it has not changed MY outlook on life. In fact, it has given me a new sense of freedom I never had before. Granted, I do not have familial underpinnings that must be adhered to, such as kids or spouses. I am lucky that way. Adversely? Nah. The only thing adverse is the sick sense of deja vu' I am experiencing at this moment. WTF.
