How does the marijuana legalization play out in CO and WA?

It really comes down to how tough Obama wants to be on it.

Technically it is still against the law to use it even for medical purposes but the feds have turned a blind eye.

What will Obama do?

I don't think the Feds are going to go for legalization for recreational purposes and the votes will be mostly symbolic.
 
I have said for a long time this could be an issue for republicans to hop on to get the youth and libertarian vote.

Republicans really need to lighten up a little.

Areas where the GOP either move forward or fall further behind.
I say outlaw alcohol; outlaw mj.
But, I also say that if you legalize alchohol, how can you not legalize mj?

I don't smoke the stuff, but gotta say it's a plant that grows in the dirt. Keeping it illegal is government bs. And yes, if Repubs would step out there, and push to legalize it, guarantee the younger crowd would take note.
