A champion is an athlete, an athlete is a jock - and jocks don't think. They are little boys who never grew up. They are idiots who risk life long debilitating injuries in return for a fleeting second of glory. They are parasites who make their livings off the backs of couch potatoes living in la-la land.
Who cares "how" they think!

When I first read this, I thought "I guess I know who was always picked last in your neighborhood 'pickup' games when you were a kid". But then it occurred to me that it surely wasn't you, because I'm sure you never even had the balls to show up. Your statement is one of the more moronic generalizations I have read in a long time. And yes, I was a jock at a major university. And I have a Master's Degree in Finance. And I graduated in the top 10% of my class. And yes, I have grown up, and am a leader in my community. And yes, I have bad knees. And yes, despite the pain in my knees, I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Because through sports, I learned how to deal with adversity, and failure. And I learned discipline and perseverance. I learned the meaning of hard work, and I enjoyed the successes that resulted from taking risks that others were not willing to take, and pushing myself harder than others were willing to push themselves. Now, I am a highly successful trader, and I am 100% certain that were it not for the things I learned as a "jock", my life and career would not be the success that it has been so far.

Some of the world's greatest leaders had excelled in sports in their youth or were a champion athelete in some sort'uv sport in their youth or young adult years.
Many former champions are now lawyers, doctors, judges, accountants, business owners, philanthropists, researchers, professors, educators, politicians, stay at home moms, plumbers, coaches, scientists, futures traders, stock traders, analysts, TV journalists, musicians....
and the list goes on and on and on.
All being former jocks and champions in their sport.
How typical of a sports geek to post this kind of crap. Being down 22 to 14 is not dealing with adversity. Losing the "big game is not failure. And I love the attempted insult about being picked last - grow up, jerk. Being adored by couch potatoes is your dream, not mine. When you have dealt with real adversity, when you learn how to be humble, then you can lecture me - until then you are a geek. living in la-la land.
Go ask "coach" what you should do next...
