How do you track down this stock?

Sorry if this is not the place for this but wasn't sure where else to put it.

There is a particular mutual fund I like but the inflexibility and restrictions of fund trading are a pain. The obvious answer is to find a stock which closely tracks the mf performance. I have, of course, checked the largest holdings of the fund, but the results aren't even close.

If there is a way to do this without a program of some sort, it's way over my head. Any and all ideas appreciated.
