How do you short stocks?

No..not how to short stocks LOL

But when considring going short on a stock what do you look for?

I have made great money in bull markets trading the leading stocks. That's easy. But it can only be done in bull markets before the smar arses reply as to why I do not stick with this method.

But I can't grasp how to short. Do you look for confirmed downtrends? Overpriced stocks? Any help?

Reverse a bull market chart. Short when the stock(s) is making a lower high and coming back down. Look for a lower low.

Wouldn't that be too late?

Of course not. Is buying RIMM at $100 bucks (new 52 week high) too late if the stock runs to $130? The reverse is true as well.
