How do you know which stocks to trade?

Decide what a stock has to do for you to trade it.

Scan for that set of circumstances.

I have a cat and 500 ping pong balls marked with ticker symbols. I let him loose on the whole wad the day before trading.

I go long on the one ball he seems to like the most the next day, I grab the ball and write the ticker on a sheet of paper and take it over to the workstation for order entry.
