I don't know your background but university is quite crowded field now and unless you're ready to compete with asians academically just total waste of time
USA still holds but Canada increased its population through immigration 4% this year
1 in 25 people who lives in canada came just last year and mostly from Asia. They are mostly young and hungry
And they flood universities. There is no escape
plus AI will make many degrees redundant and displace many people into blue colar in the coming years. Asians don't understand that but I do
to have somewhat enjoyable life you need to think out of the box and really open your horizons
running business is much more rewarding and allows you to hire asians and choose them not compete
and yes, I have university degree
People really don't understand what university education entails I find. The university is not designed to teach you specific skills or some particular trade skills. You have community college or trade/vocational schools for that. A university education rather is more of an experience and an academic exploratory journey in discovering what's out there. It's an intellectual discourse with oneself and others on subject matters that have always intrigued you. It opens your eyes to knowledge about things that you have always known to be out there but never had a chance to learn about them. Of course the Bachelor's level only teaches you the basic level of knowledge; it opens the door sorta speak to the realm of knowledge and leads you in and if you want to learn more in-depth about a particular subject, then you would have to pursue the graduate level.
At the same time when you are pursuing your university education, you also get trained on many vitally important and useful skills that are applicable to no matter which job you take in the future. These skills include but not limited to professional writing, time management, priority-setting, interpersonal, project management and coordination skills. These skills will prove useful even if jobs are replaced by AI because these skills are universal. And you don't actually take courses or actually pursue a degree to learn these skills. These skills are acquired during the process of you pursuing your degree. And these skills are especially important if you want to run a business.
This is basically what a university education is about.
