How do you determine existence?

Quote from gaynproud:

Existence is consciousness, physicists are slowly realizing what occultists have always known

All is mind, pure living mind, the universe is an expression of that one mind's self awareness

Some call it god

Mind is the creative aspect of Spirit as part of a Spirit-mind creation. This is " natural". Mind, on its own, divorced from Spirit, running amuk, imagining what is false and making it seem real...this is what the world is all about. Mind alone is not natural.

So yes, its all mind. At least this world. And all it's images are actually thoughts appearing to take shape and form.

But what the hell is this mind really up to?

It is not up to any kind of self awareness.

It is not trying to know itself.

It is actually attempting to disown itself, mask itself, run from itself, hide from itself, and render itself confused about who or what it is.

This world is not about self awareness. It is about amnesia, self destruction, and self deception.

These are experiences. That is all the mind is accomplishing. These, and all other experiences are not at all necessary for the mind to know itself. It has always known itself. What is different is not knowing itself. That's what makes this world different.

None of the thoughts that make up the shapes and forms in this world have any meaning whatsoever.

This world is a place in the mind, rather a non-place, where the natural can be exchanged for the unnatural, and the unnatural can be made to seem natural. It's a place for the Son of God to cross-dress. Whether it's "man", "woman", "male and female", male on male, female on female, or trans on trans. It's all a form of cross-dressing. It's all the same.

And none of it really matters.

Quote from thesharpone:

sounds reasonable, but still does not prove that the object is really God, or the supreme God

when I was a teenager I had fear of things that might happen in my future life that I don't like, and fear of things not going as I have planned for my life

when I became 19, all of it went away, I don't know the reason, and the reason is of zero importance to me, for everything lost it's importance before my eyes, even the supposedly greatest and most important things in life, ever since then I just live life as is, I hardly feel anything, and if you ever see me happy, angry or sad, it is most likely I am imitating it, for the sake of entertaining myself, most of the time there is a constant void in my heart, to me it seems like my heart is not beating

anyhow since I hardly feel anything, there is nothing that I can think of, and think of losing it and feel any kind of fear, in basic words; I have nothing to lose, there is nothing your God or any other God can take away from me or bring upon me that can make me fearful of him

Thank you for sharing this honestly.

Many a man has up and died upon realizing that nothing in this world means anything, and all of it's paths lead nowhere.

This could be seen as a blessing, especially that you came to this realization at such a young age.

The only path that has any meaning whatsoever is the path that leads out of this world. Believe it or not, this is a path of joy in an otherwise joyless place.

All I am attempting to accomplish here is that you be aware of what that path is, and where it goes. Salvation is simply being aware of what is different about this path among all other paths, while empowering yourself to make the only choice that matters. Whether you make that choice is up to you. Salvation simply gives that choice to your awareness.

Instead of the end of the road, you could see a fork in the road instead. I encourage you to take it.

I am on a journey trying to 'figure out' this whole existence, God etc thing myself but how about the thought that we are all energy and energy can neither be created nor destroyed ?

Quote from neophyte321:

i find your use of money as an example of what is perceived as real and what is actually real particularly amusing...
And I find your inability or unwillingness to find the meaning behind my example saddening. But don't worry, I'll get over it.

As much as I appreciate your contributions, and even though this is a very popular paradigm, I have to call it like i see it:

Quote from Razor:

I am on a journey trying to 'figure out' this whole existence, God etc thing myself but how about the thought that we are all energy and energy can neither be created nor destroyed ?

Consider energy to be thought in the mind of the Son of God. Consider it a building block upon which to build a world within his imagination. Consider that what the Son imagines is what he wants, and as long as he wants it, it will never be destroyed.

Consider that energy is made, and not created. So it is temporary. As a building block, it leaves the world without a true foundation, for the world will pass away when the Son no longer wants it.

The Son does not need energy, nor is it natural to his reality. Consider energy to be a playground in which the Son can play games that are not real.

In this playground, it appears that the Son can die. But alas, we find that like energy, he merely changes form, and cycles around and around.

Consider energy to be like a sleep drug. It only exists while the Son is sleeping and dreaming. He dreams of many forms, and many changes. All of it is energy, and none of it is real.

This is what is called "existence", as if it were alive. To exist is an alternative to life. Have you noticed that all who are existing are also dying? What kind of existence is this?

To live, one must wake up from this dream of dying. To wake up is to return in your awareness of reality, which is life eternal.

We "exist" as what we are not.

We wake to what we are...life.

As energy we will pass away.

As the Son of God we have been created, but we can never be destroyed.

Quote from gaynproud:

One way or the other.. why would you give a rats ass?

Well, imagine a kind of Gordon Gekko type character that gradually moved from atheism to gnosticism and then begins to clutter up threads with multiple aliases rarely responding to what people have written but what he wants to say instead. It just clutters up otherwise good threads and creates a lot of "white space". And the whole Samosum thing is similar: creating a foil for IAm, etc.

Before I say anything else, I think you actually have a lot of good things to say. For example, JohnnyK often had some interesting comments before he started heading into the Pantheon. Johnny K reached a point, though, where he was always right.

If I can't prove something, I admit it. But after a while, JohnnyK didn't care any more and then his answers got longer and longer and longer...

But why not just be your real self and respond to what people are saying?

I vote that you bring back the early JohnnyK and give the other cast of characters a much needed rest.

This is the ultimate in gnosticism if you didn't know it already.

It's going to make it hard for you to attract a lot of followers.
