How Do We Deal With Guys Like Thad Cochran?

I'm not going to bother with linking articles. They're on Drudge if you are not aware of them. The issue in a nutshell is long time incumbent republican Senator Thad Cochran "won" his primary run-off election using corrupt Obama tactics, namely vote fraud in black precincts. There was apparently unprecedented turnout for the republican primary in black precincts, and those votes got Cochran past his Tea party challenger.

This primary was interesting as it pitted pretty much the entire national republican establishment on cochran's side and the entire Tea Party establishment against him.

I wouldn't complain if he won honestly. It's not like he is John McCain or Lindsey Graham. However, he didn't win honestly. There will likely be some court challenge, and the mississippi courts will likely side with the establishment guy. That means nothing. We know he won by paying people to somehow generate votes from black names who will never vote for a republican.

That personally offends me, but the question is, is it better to suck it up and vote for him anyway on the ground that his seat might be the one that tips the senate, or, do we send a message? If conservatives and Tea Party supporters voted for the democrat in November, he might lose his supposedly safe seat.

Some establishment candidates who lost primaries to Tea Party challengers have run as third party candidates. The republican party establishment seems to think conservatives have a duty to support any moderate who gets nominated but if a conservative is nominated, then all bets are off.

If this were some swing state where a weaker Tea Party nominee might lose the seat, then I can see the party going all out for the incumbent. That isn't going to happen in Mississippi. Whoever gets the republican nomination is winning.

In any event, the dumb asses who run the party have managed to alienate a large group of supporters, reinvigorated the calls for a third party and shown they are ok with chicanery to keep Tea Party people out of power.

McDaniel should run as a third party and so should some other losing conservatives til these establishment jerkoffs start voting as their constituents demand.
Seal the borders, defund obamacare, low flat rate or no income tax at all, cap spending. Oil and natural gas drilling and pipelines.

The establishment just doubled down on being traitors. They are therefore more treacherous than democrats.
how does it help americans when the establishment wins? It only allows the left to shift the blame for their failing policies.
We need a real choice in the country... not left and the cronies running things... but cronies vs the rest.

I think tea party groups should form a coalition and then create one website with this message... you are either with us or we vote against you and run a third party candidate.

On that site they note that if a in order to not face a third party challenger that must.

the list could include the following

1. vote to defund obamacare
2. vote to seal the border completely
3. no amnesty negotiations until the border is sealed
4. cap federal spending.
5. lower income taxes to 15% or lower.
6. drill or increase our security through useful energy development
7. support coal for now.

I'm not familiar with the details of Cochran's record, but I have to think it is pretty conservative. I think the main objection to him is he is 76 and out of touch.

So it's not like he is some traitor who must be ousted as a warning to others. The real issue to me is the tactics that were used. The party seems ok with underhanded tactics they were too timid to use against Obama. Against a Tea Party candidate however, they pull out all the stops. That offends me and makes me wonder who they consider the real danger.

According to Mark Levin, he has not been very conservative in his voting. Thad and the establishment GOP used racism and courted democrats, who for some fucked up reason, can vote in republican primaries. That is a giant "fuck you" to conservatives in Miss. The left picked Mississippi's candidate. How's that feel, conservatives in Mississippi? Thad reminds me of another guy who reached out to dems to stay in power. From my state, Charlie the traitor Crist. They even look alike.

I think you have it wrong, as a lot, if not most of the "gunfucking nutjobs" tend to come from liberal groups. But I don't expect facts will ever get in your way.
