How do the BIG BOYS trade?

The real pros are pros because they worked their butts off for years to get there. When you guys make excuses like "the pros all have insider info" or "they're only able to do that stuff because they trade other people's money" you are cheating yourself.

Read about the top pros. The real secret is money management and a shitload of hard work. That's it.

And a note about other people's money. It takes a lot more to be successful in the hedge fund game than it does to be successful trading your own account.

Excellent post, I totally agree. I might add that most "hedge fund" managers and others who use OPM tend to be more careless and looking for the "big return" vs. making a good living with their own trading, whether Prop or not, IMO.

there are some great traders out there......but if you believe for one second that info is`nt bot & sld/favors being done on a regular basis, you`re mistaken.

where ever big money moves, politics play a monster role & this is the largest casino in the world.

i know all about hard work & "putting in time"...no jealousy here & i love what i do but don`t kid yourself on what the priveliged do.

edit: let`s talk about marc rich that traded oil illegally during the iraqi war...then bought himself a presidential pardon while he hid out in switzerland.

After trying countless indicators and more methods than I care to remember, I was thinking, how do the big guys trade? I doubt, they use all those fancy tools we have at our disposal. However, if they do use them, then which ones and how? Any ideas?
You trade when some squiggly line on your screen says buy or sell.

Professional traders on exchanges buy/sell when they get paid to do so.

The best thing is support and residents lines.
In addition I use the trend line they are the majors.

Plenty of responses, some on the target for which I thank you guys and some off. Be that as it may, I was told (or have read somewhere) that a lot of those guys trade off the tape or use simple method like MAs. How true is it then? Are their systems complicated or is it something very simple (like MAs for example) and very sound Money M.

Just because someone is on the floor of an exchange, or works for a professional firm doesn't mean they have a clue. They don't ask you at the door, do you know how to trade, or are you here to gamble? If you puts your moneys down, you get to play.

I work accross the street from three exchanges in chicago. I see lots of traders buying lottery tickets at concession stands. Many probably trade in a similar fashion, and don't last very long.

So how do the successful ones do it?

I have already told you, when they get paid to do so.

If you want to learn that, go and pay your dues and work at a firm and learn. Otherwise, are you really going to trust your hard earned money on what is hypothized and posted on an anonymous board? LMAO.
