I might disCongrats! Would you share your methodology with us?
Well, it was a hard job! My initial idea was to prove myself if I am capable to make a million by starting with just $10k. I put together a trading journal to keep on track with projected targets.Congrats! Would you share your methodology with us?
This journal was just an excel file with projected daily gains of 3, 4 and 5%.
I nkew I had to reach the 100% very fast so I can continue by putting only my profits at risk.
I did explain in another Topic my trading strategy and ROE. Those were my guidelines. I have to point out, I was only day trading. Main reason was the fact that I started with 500:1 leverage and wanted to keep the leverage ration intact to finish. My broker would have lowered my leverage as soon as I reached $100k.
For that reason I openend a new account which acted as deposit. Every single evening, when I was done for the day i moved all my profits into this deposit account (which is btw a normal trading account) leaving the $100k. At midnight when my broker, and I believe all other brokers perform swaps and other calculations, my account holds only $100k and the leverage stays the same.
I needed that insane leverage to stay on course with my trading goals. I used have positions beyond 100 lots because I have been on a hunt for 10, 20, 30 max 50 pips (points).
To cut the long story short: I started on April 18th 2016 with $10k and was at $245,986.83 on June 10th. Made a short break and went on it again on June 13th with aforementioned $246k and ended October 11th with $3,513,412.98 on my account. Deducting the $10k I started with, the final profit was $3,5 million.
All profits have been made trading the FX market and sometimes Gold.
Afterwards I placed $100k again and traded smaller just end the year with $160k on that account.
On January 4th I challenged myself again with the goal of making half a million before I go on ski vacation. Utilizing the very same strategy I used before, I started with $160k and closed my challenge on February 23rd with $670,556.15 on balance, meaning just over half a million in profit.
Cheers
