How do I copy a TC2000 chart into an EliteTrader post??

Hi,

How do I go about copying a TC2000 chart onto an EliteTrader post?

What's the easiest and most hassle free way for me to do this?


And:


Can SnagIt do this? Their webpage states that it can copy anything that is on a windows screen. Are my TC2000 charts on a windows screen??

I also don't know what a "jpeg" is either???


Don't mean to sound clueless, but when it comes to this stuff, I am.

SnagIt will work. You can also do this:
1) put focus on the window (chart) that you want to capture and hit ALT+PrintScreen to copy its picture to the clipboard.

2) Open PS Paint (in Start/Programs/Accessories) or MS Word and paste the picture in.

3) Save the file.

To post here, you would have to upload the file to some server that is accessible to everyone, then post the URL to the file. Many ISPs provide some space on their servers where you can build home pages. You can use that.
 
Follow Medved's input, but you can post directly here from your HD. Just go to the Attach file: Browse... function and bring it in. It saves on ET's system.

That chart looks great, that's exactly what I would like to do.

Once my chart is in paint, how do I save it as a jpg file???

It keeps coming up as a bmp file when I use the "attach file" part of the Elitetrader post???

As a general rule, charts should be saved in the GIF format since they have less than 256 colors. The JPG format is used primarily for images with thousands of colors like photos. A chart saved in the GIF format will be clearer and will have a smaller file size than if it was saved as a JPG.
