How come they dont offer live video to futures pits?

I was wondering why they dont offer live video to the futures pits. It would be much useful then just noise from the pits.

Probably the same reason why hedge funds don't put out videos of what goes on behind their doors. How would it help THEM?

there are media cameras recording them all the time. Also all the pit noise is recorded, so why not allow a public video stream. Also, you can watch them do their trades, if you were to visit cme.

I think it's probably an issue of scale. They give cnbc and "tourists" just enough access to keep the public interested in the game, so that they continue to provide the fuel for their profits.
