Are you serious? The internet was invented/created by the United States military during the 1960s.

Europe DID NOT invent the internet.

The United States has always been ahead of Europe in terms of creativity, the go-getter attitude, and the youth being told they can [do it]. Combine those three criteria in the right proportions and toss in some luck and hard work and that is the recipe for the reason the United States has always been the leading nation for discoveries and inventions.

EDIT: Those reasons are why the United States has always been #1, not just ahead of Europe.

As a side note, the Chinese and Indians are great at solving problems, but only if they already know how to. I go to an engineering school and have been told by a few professors that the people of Asian/Middle East decent are great at applying methods they already know, but they fall behind when any creativity/critical thinking is required.
 
We invented the USA. We liberated America from the Red Indians and gave a home to all of you who live there.

We also invented democracy. If it wasnt for us, you would all be fighting eachother in an anarchic country.
 
People are confusing WWW and the Internet. WWW was invented at CERN (european agency btw) but Internet has its roots from US DOD. Never forget that the internet is more than the web, usenet, e-mail, etc.
 
Real inventions aside, on my last visit to the US, I was surprised to see many German brands, products being now available there. From shampoo to mobile phone companies (Deutsche Telekom) etc....this was clearly not the case maybe 15 years ago when European markets already had been flooded with US products a long time ago.

The liberation you talk about was nothing more than genocide the only exception here is history books talk about it as good (whites) overcoming evil (natives)

Legitimate credit for who or where an invention finally came to its
fruition isn't like giving one team or another posession of a fumble recovery. Another case of truth being a liquid and not a solid.
