How come other trader's like to watch successful traders or investors fail?

I dont get why alot of traders like to watch successful traders or investors fail. Like how everybody is going after warren buffet, steven cohen, citadel guys, eddie lampert, etc. People who were successful for many years, take a lump. Everybody pounces on them. Even doug kass who was called a loser during the entire bull run, is dishing out his own stuff on everybody. I just dont get it.
