How come IBKR does not route to the Exchange that provides the lowest rate?

If your smart routing it should go to the exchange for the most probable execution.

If you route to the best rebate, good chance the opposite order would go to another exchange to avoid the ECN fee...

Thank you, I tried to sell 50 at $2.60, all the Exchanges were being picked off except mine(NOM). I would have routed to CBOE n PHX instead of NASDAQ. Heck, Bats and EMLD were getting hit, not mine. I love IBKR, not complaining because it went to $2.90!
 
My bad, IBKR is good to go! Looking at the orders and time-and-sales someone popped up their ugly head and I hit a offer instead of providing liquidity. Sorry IBKR, your good people!
