How Can This Be Overcome By US Workers?

Give 'em drugs or shoot 'em. They are like guys in the middle east that will never have a wife due to polygamy, they will become dangerous at some point..
I guess that in the past technology displaced workers but at the same time it created new industries for them to migrate to. Guess what, at this point the displacement is increasing exponentially and there is no new industry for them to migrate to. Infrastructure might serve as a band aid for awhile at best.
People have to get over their anti Marx stances and admit that finally he is correct and something really has to be done other than just offering more credit to keep the capacity utilization up...
The most likely outcome, since nobody has any politically workable solution, is that the worker will be driven to his natural limit, a days food for a day's work.
The standard of living in the US must come down while other nations will come up. I think that while low-skill workers in developed nations will especially feel pain, the wage reduction will be nearly across the board. However rather than salaries being outright reduced, I see this being accomplished with hyper-inflation out-pacing wage increases by a large margin. Its nearly inevitable with the actions the government is taking, and at the same time a much easier pill to swallow for the American people.
The key IMO? Live within your means and find enjoyment in the little things. You certainly can't go wrong with this mentality and it leaves surprise upside

Usually, a really big war starts to sop up the excess population. And we've never had so much excess population (either in the "west" or elsewhere) as we do now.
Going to be an interesting decade ahead for us, as technology is obliterating the traditional reasons for encouraging large populations (don't need them for farming, don't need them for fighting, don't need them for manufacturing...)

Yes. A lower standard of living does not really mean less happy. If a person has a roof, a garden, some friends [for me to be happy i'd also have to have internet and a library... with interlibrary loans... and some nootropics and supplements, the wife, the dogs, dog food come to think of it... good hiking boots.. services of a good Osteopath... hot showers, my really, really, comfy mattress with the magnetic pad, the M1 carbine and ten thousand rounds, the Nine, crossbow, survival gear, a small farm with goats and chickens in a community that was able to defend itself against marauders.. in an area with great weather.... there is probably more...], they can be quite happy...
What is to done with all the workers the robots displaced?

What is being done with all the Private Equity/IB guys who are on the streets now that Investment Banks are all but gone?
What is being done to all those Mortgage Brokers who are now outa a job?
They will either survive or die. Period. I was phased out on ARBs and Locked Market Plays in Options. We had a great run from 02 til 04. But Then, the markets tight'n, less Arbs, rules passed on Locked markets.
I fuked off for a year in Miami and decided to Join a Private Equity Firm in the Energy Industry. I switched carreers, had to get new SEC/Finra lisc...go through a year of Training and had to make next to nothing that first year.
Suck it up or go work at Walmart.....that is the new America.

Pretty soon robots will do everything....I think the robots will be something like this.

The globalists want everyone to have the same standard of living, and the same allegiance. They're getting their way, as the world marches onward and downward in that direction.
