How American Oligarchs Are Pushing America to the Brink of Fascism

That is not the same thing. Again, it is a fairytale. Are there oligarchs in these functional equivalents that you speak of?

Please name these functional equivalents.
An effective union gives workers a greater share of the company's profits, at least keeping their compensation in line with their productivity. So while the workers may not own the company technically, they are being compensated more like an owner.

If one takes a pendulum or cyclical view of history, one sees that oligarchs come and oligarchs go.

I agree. If the people get the power of the govt back from the cronies... the money will be more effectively distributed.

Right now the tax system and inflation system is set up to strip out all the money non crony families can earn or save within 1-3 generations. Allowing the assets and the power to be consolidated in the hands of very very few.

Power to the people, not the money.

I am glad that you provided unions as an example. I agree that unions are examples of smaller entities attempting their own form of socialism. Are they not essentially oligarchies? They have leaders that stay in power until they decide to retire normally and they get paid significantly more than the laborers in the union. Why is there such income equity within the unions within the US?

How much do the laborers in the Boilermakers' union get paid in total compensation on average? Is it anywhere close to $506,000.

How much do the laborers in the Laborers union get paid in total compensation on average? Is it anywhere close to $441,000.

How much do the laborers in the Transportation Communications union get paid in total compensation on average? Is it anywhere close to $750,000.

I just read this at first and accepted it... as typical...
but then it sunk in .. he has a point... and a really good one.

Socialism equals cronies at the top again.
like being a party member in a communist set up.
