It would create efficiencies and cut down on the duplication of services. Since the U.S. Taxpayer are bankrolling both, they might as well try and make 'em profitable.
The laidoff bankers can get jobs in Iowa driving trackers.
 
How about the gummit dissolve Citi and transfer the deposits to the 100's of regional banks that have no problems whatsoever.

The Bush admin screwed this thing up so bad, Paulson is a complete and total jackass.
