I am not sure what you are disagreeing with, because I didn't even mention blockchains. By the way since the notion of blockchain is not tied to just bitcoin itself, one can live without the other. So we can fascinate ourselves in the future without having to pay 20K for a Bitcoin.
Sidenote: The newest cryptos are mineless. Mining was so 20th century anyhow...
